Mountain Lite - New Website

Mountain Lite - New Website
With the success of new venture, Mountain Run (launched last year), it was decided in early 2014 that Mountain Lite (formerly The Outdoor Warehouse) was to be retired. Well now it's back!

When a customer shuts up shop for good it's usually to be taken as a bad sign. And so it was that at Outsrc we were sad to hear that Mountain Lite was to close its digital doors after Christmas 2013, due to the buying power and margin-crushing practices being employed by large retailers in the outdoor market.

Factoring in the success of its sister site, Mountain Run, the owners had decided that their time would be better spent building on the niche market of guided running in the Lake District, rather than trying to do commercial battle with the so-called 'big boys' on everyday outdoor items.

Roll forward to autumn 2014, however, and Mountain Lite is back with a bang. Sporting hidden gems in three exclusive brands, the new website features a complete redesign, responsive build and the improved ecommerce facilities of Shopify's latest platform.

"The brands we stock at Mountain-Lite have been tried and tested by ourselves in the mountains. We are committed to supplying you quality outdoor clothing and equipment from the leading UK and World manufacturers for your enjoyment in the mountains

Mountain-Lite has been born out of our desire to enjoy the beautiful & mountainous regions of the UK, Europe & the rest of the World. By enjoy, we mean to walk, hike, backpack, fastback, run, climb, bike, camp & tramp or just spend time soaking up the beauty that these places have to offer."

The new Mountain Lite website focuses on three core brands:

  • Aarn - Bodypacks
  • True Mountain - Clothing
  • Suprabeam - LED headtorches and lighting

Aarn Bodypacks - Attaching X-Flow Straps
